John Lennon was a great musician with extraordinary vision of the possibilities of human kind. President Nixon tried to have the radical antiwar socialistic leftist deported.

In the song "Imagine," Lennon envisions a world he often spoke of with "no boundaries, no passports, only people." Like Carlos Santana's call for "no mas banderas" (no more flags), Lennon too saw straight through the artificial political and religious boundaries that divide and conquer humans and desecrate our existence.

Imagine by John Lennon

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
